This is a placeholder policy for Häälis, operated by Kuiv Tech OÜ (the “Platform”). Replace this text with counsel-approved wording before production launch.

Who we are

Häälis (Kuiv Tech OÜ) operates a marketplace for independent audio walking tours. Contact for privacy requests: privacy@haalis.example (replace with your real address). Supervisory authority for Estonia: Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI).

Data we collect

  • Account data: email, name, password hash, role (tourist / creator / admin)
  • Purchase and payout data: Stripe Checkout identifiers, settlement amounts, Wise details you provide
  • Creator content: tour text, audio, images, location points
  • Technical data: approximate device/app usage needed to deliver the service; IP address when recording legal acceptances and cookie preferences
  • Cookie preferences: necessary always; analytics/marketing only if you opt in (see Cookie Notice)

Why we process data

  • Provide accounts, purchases, offline tour unlock, and creator payouts (contract)
  • Comply with law and prevent fraud
  • Improve product reliability and support
  • Optional analytics/marketing only with your cookie consent

Processors / subprocessors

Typical processors include Stripe (payments & Connect), Amazon Web Services (hosting, S3 media, SES email), and Mapbox (maps). Update this list when you add analytics or other tools.

Retention

  • Account profile: until you delete the account (then anonymized)
  • Purchases and settlements: kept as required for accounting (target ~7 years)
  • Legal acceptances and cookie consent logs: retained as proof for a limited period after account end
  • Email outbox copies: short retention then purged

Exact periods are set operationally; counsel should confirm for the OÜ.

Your rights (EEA/UK)

You may request access, a portable copy of your data, rectification, erasure, restriction, or objection to certain processing, and you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Estonia: AKI).

In product: signed-in users can download their data and delete their account from the Häälis app Profile and the Creator panel. Deleting a creator account unpublishes that creator’s tours; buyers who already purchased keep access. Support email remains available for other requests.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes get a new version and effective date. Where required, we will ask you to re-accept and may email you.
